On offering warranties longer than original manufacturers

5yrwarranty.png

We stand behind each Nano-Clear® restoration and protection with a 5 year warranty - which is equivalent to or longer than most NZ manufacturer warranties of brand new home joinery. And an application is a fraction of the cost of new!

Nano-Clear® gives this warranty to let you know that you are purchasing a premium coating and a long term solution for your aluminium joinery / garage doors. Nano-Clear® is proven to not fade, peel, crack or flake for a lot longer than this.

Many window & door manufacturers in NZ offer a 5 year warranty on the powdercoating finish on NEW joinery.

In contrast, the monopoly on garage doors in NZ offer a mere 1 year warranty on the surface coating. So if you buy a door, and it oxidises just 1 year later, you probably won’t get much help from your installer!

Other products, such as wipe on DIY products, have limited film build and cannot stand up to our UV. They quickly deteriorate and can leave your home exterior looking even worse, in as little as 3 months (they don’t have warranties). Leaving you to either leave it looking worse, or do all that painful surface preparation over and over again, or call us to fix it. Doors and windows previously treated can present greater problems with contaminants and loss of coating.

As highly conductive material, aluminium windows fluctuate substantially more than the rest of your building materials. In some parts of NZ, our windows and doors can regularly see a 40° C temperature fluctuation in a matter of hours. This places significant stress on the powdercoating and paint in these areas, effectively ageing the surface much much faster than it is designed for. It’s no surprise that the coating technology for these metal areas require substantially superior technology than coatings for the more porous surfaces evident on the bulk of buildings. Also consider that windows require greater levels of preparation, highly accurate masking and greater skill in the spray application to achieve an acceptable finish on smooth aluminium as well as an even film build to ensure longevity.

Coatings that can withstand extreme UV, chemical and heat exposure require substantial product development, and like any good technology, and this costs time and resource. Investment in quality coatings is understood by many businesses who have a sharp focus on cost versus benefit with maintenance. Quality coatings save us money in the long run as a result of less labour costs in preparation, easier cleaning, less underlying corrosion and overall reduced maintenance.
